Little Star

I made this cute baby card for Splitcoast Stampers card layout challenge for this week. I got this Martha Stewart paper from a friend not too long ago and thought I would put it to good use.

The Chocolate and Baja Breeze are from Stampin Up otherwise the rest of the paper is by Martha Stewart. The stamps are a set by Inkadinkado. The button was something I received in a embelle swap a while ago. I'm not sure I really love this card but I love the layout this week.

Slacking Again

I have not been making so many cards lately. I have been feeling lazy after my daughter goes to bed around 9:30 or so... But I have been cleaning and re-organizing my craft room to make it more functional. We had an out of town guest for a few days and I didn't want to be rude and go hide in the basement crafting. But I do need to make a few cards this month and hopefully I will be more efficient in my newly organized craft room :}

I have to confess that I have been reading Breaking Dawn(and the other Twilight books)for the third time, so that may have something to do with my slacking...

Kitty Birthday Card

Yesterday we went to my neice's 4th birthday party & it was a kitty theme. I had to go out & get a cat stamp because I didn't have one yet. I'm not a big animal person but I do like cats LOL!

The butterfly paper is by Basic Grey, the rest of the cardstock is by Stampin Up. The ribbon is by American Crafts and on the other side is a lot of polka dots(which I though would be too much so I flipped it over). I stamped the cat image on white cardstock then colored it with Prisma Colored Pencils. I cut it out and added a tiny bit of glitter to the little butterfly and the cats paws. I popped it up on dimensionals and also popped up the scalloped circle. The stamp is by Scrappy Cat.

Valentine Treats

These are the treats we made for my daughter's pre-school class. I asked her if she wanted to make them or buy them this year. She said buy them. So I let her choose and she picked the 3-D Transformers ones. I'm sure she will be the only girl giving out Transformers Valentine's but it's fine with me! Then we picked out Airheads candy to go with it...Then we needed some way to keep them together. So this is what we came up with, really quick & easy and I like the staple in front for some reason.

I just used 2 1/4 x 4 1/4 pieces, mostly centered the fold & stapled the bottom. After my Daughter signed them all we tucked them in with a piece of candy. We did tan fronts for the boys and pink for the girls. The stamp is part of a set I just got on eBay by Stampin Up called "Sweet on You". I stamped in black ink, used my 1 1/2" Scalloped circle punch by Paper Shapers. I colored in the heart with good old Crayola Markers. We had 18 of them for her class and a few extras for friends.

Winner!

Yea, I won some blog candy! I posted a link below to enter a drawing for her blog anniversary & I won! She happens to live in town & I had met her in person at a craft show last fall. We got our kiddos together last week to play at a fun climbing place and I received my prize, plus a bonus! She said if you posted a link that you would get a bonus if you won & I got a bonus pack of Martha Stewart Paper! How fun, I love to feel like a winner. Thanks Naphtali!

Upholstery Project

OK, so I used to have an upholstery shop and occasionally I still do some projects. My friend who lives in Nashville now, is coming to get these chairs on Monday and I really have to kick it into gear to get them done! Here is the "before" photo, what they looked like when I got them. I will post the photos after I get them done. If you saw what they looked like today you would never believe they would ever be done.

Don't mind all of the other junk in the photo, I have to do the chairs in the basement family room because they are too big to put into the craft room!

Celebrate Robot Card

I just love this robot image right now! I had to make another card for my stock pile. The groovy paper is by Basic Grey. I inked the edges & then crimped the kraft colored paper to rough it up a bit. I colored the robot with Prisma Colored pencils. The black circles are from the $ section at Joann's.

This also for Sketch challenge 214 over at Split Coast Stampers.

Robot Birthday Card

I just got this new clear stamp set by Hero Arts! It is really a Christmas set that I got for almost half off, yea. The robot kind of had his hand out to hold something so I put balloons in it! I might try it with a cupcake too. The balloons are from a $ clear set by Studio G and the Happy birthday sentiment is by K.I. The awesome background paper is by American Crafts and the solids are by Stampin Up. I colored the robot and the sentiment with Prisma Colored pencils(remember coloring isn't my thing yet).

We are going to a 7 yr olds birthday party on Saturday & really hope he will love it as much as I do! Thanks for looking!
