Art -A-Whirl

I am participating in Art-A-Whirl this Saturday May 15th! See Art A Whirl Website.

I have not been involved in this art crawl for the past 10 years, but I was there when it all started in 1995. I am very excited to be doing it again this year after a friend of mine over at Second Street Designs asked me if I wanted to have a table at her son's school.

We will be there on Saturday from 10 am until 7 pm and we are right by a trolley stop, near Johnson Street and the Quarry. A lot of the items are geared towards children and will have children's activities along with live music all day long. It looks like a large, fun and varied group of items available at the school.

I have been making items geared towards children and end of the year teacher gifts, because we all need a few of those! I will try to post some of them, but right now I am trying to finish them all up.

Holiday Botique

These are some of the items I had at the Holiday Boutique I was in last weekend.

My version of Rodolph's Spare noses, I got this idea from Kerry over at Pete and Kerry She has so many great paper crafting ideas and she does a lot of craft sales too.
This year's version of Snowman Soup. I like these much better than last years that I made.
My husband really wanted to make those "Frustration Pencils!" Do you remember them as a kid? I had forgotten all about them until he told my daughter about them. We couldn't find the "fur" at any of our local stores, but when we were in Omaha for Thanksgiving we went to a smaller hobby type shop & bought some there.
This sweet girl around 8 years old(or so) bought most of them to give to her friends for Christmas. My husband was thrilled that he sold so many of them!
A few of the gift card holders that I made this year... More to come...
I have embroidered a bunch of towels for gifts and the holidays so as soon as I get some good photos of them I will get them posted.

Gift Tags

I recently participated in a local craft sale. These are the gift tags that I made & sold most of them. They were 12 tags for $3.
I used my scalloped square punch(I think it's the purple one by Marvy Uchida) to punch the Kraft paper and then cut out squares of designer paper and plain white to stamp To & From on.

Valetine's Day Cards

Here are three cards I made for the sale last weekend. As you can see I love this polka dot paper! I think it is by American crafts. The "all my love" stamp is part of an old Stampin Up set.

Birthday Cards

Here are four different birthday cards that I made for my craft sale tomorrow. If they don't sell then I am all set for a while! I used a clear cake/cupcake stamp by Inkadinkado and the birthday sentiments are by Scrappy Cat.
I was groovin' on the layout so I went a little crazy. Sometimes you can get a lot more done by just repeating the same steps! Thanks for looking.

Tree Sympathy

Here is another Sympathy card I made for my craft sale tomorrow. It is at a church so I was going to make a bunch of sympathy cards to sell. We'll see how many I can actually get done! It's been kind of a busy week and my creative juices aren't flowing so freely...
I like this tree stamp and the paper. It seems sympathy cards are always so flowery. I wanted to try another card for anyone.

Second Craft Sale Photos

Here are some photos from the second craft sale that I was in. My mother joined me this time with her awesome photo cards! Thanks for hangin' with me mom :)

I sold the most Paperclip Bookmarks, M & M jars as Thank Yous, Holiday Gift Tags and Gift Card Holders. I found some tips from Kerry somewhere in her blog over at: http://crafts.peteandkerry.com/labels/Altered%20Stuff.html about things that worked at her craft sales. It definitely helped having things at different heights. We bought this card rack and the verdict is still out about it. LOL! It was supposed to fit my mother's cards and it was the wrong size, but we found out after we paid rush shipping to get it here in time for the sale!

This sale was SO much better than the last one! I'm glad I did one more this year. Let me know if you have any questions and TFL!

Gift Tags

Here are some gift tags I made for the last craft sale. I sold them 12 for $3. The ones stamped in Green had 3 ea of 4 stamp designs and the ones stamped in red had 4 ea of 3 stamp designs. I tried to make a cute topper for them too!
Sorry, some of these photos are so bad I tried to hurry up and take them before I had to pack for the craft sale and the lighting was terrible!.
The To: & From: stamps are from a clear $ set st Michael's. The other cute stamps are a clear set I got at Joann's by KI Memories, Winter Icons. The Kraft & Cottonwood card stock was punched with my Square scallop Marvy Uchida Punch(The purple one). Most of the card stock I matted with was misc, but the blue is from the Ski Slope pack by Stampin Up new this year. TFL!

Craft Sale Update

Well it was kind of a slow sale... I think everyone was doing yard work, because it was the last warm day of the fall here in MN! I did sell some stuff but I wouldn't gauge most sales against this one. It was in an old airplane hanger in St Paul and was actually in the Commemorative Air Force Museum which was cool. I convinced my sweet sister-in-law to come & hang out with me for the day & she was Awesome!! I had a lot of fun getting ready for it and now I have a tons stuff done for the holidays and have had some custom orders. Here are some photos of what I had for sale. My mom also put some of her photo cards in the sale with me :) Items that I had:

Pumpkin Poop $1.50
Snowman Poop $1.50
Snowman Soup $3
Kids Card Kits 4 cards $5
