BOOT-ilicious Card

I got a page of these stamped images from a friend a couple of weeks ago and wasn't sure what to do with them. I used my Prisma Colored Pencils and cut them out and put Diamond Glaze and glitter on them and let them dry. The Edges kind of curled up which I love!

More details to come....

SCS Sketch Challenge #200

Here is sketch challenge#200 from Splitcoast Stampers. This is a link to all of their sketch challenges. http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=41. Sometimes I love to have a new sketch to work from, otherwise a lot of my cards start to look the same. Kinda like my scrapbook :) I Cram as many photos as I can on a page and they pretty much end up being in the same place. Well, every Wednesday over at Splitcoast they have a new layout if you want to work with it. Here is my take on it.

I cut the awesome planes out of some paper I just got at Crafts Direct, it's by Creative Imaginations, which I popped up on foam dots for dimension. The lighter blue at the top and the red strip are SU's new "in-colors". The rest of the paper is misc. The stamp is a clear $ set from Michael's. TFL!

Welcome Christmas into your Heart

This is another one of the cards I came up with for my craft sale. I really like the new Heard From the Heart stamp set by Stampin Up and wanted to find ways to use them.

This is made on Kraft card stock, the burgundy is from Joann's, the awesome Santa paper is Peppermint Twist Ol' Saint Nick by K&Company, Ribbon is American Crafts, I cut the two hearts out on my Cricut with the Tags, Bags, Boxes & more set and it cuts a little slit where I tied the ribbon onto. I stamped the message with Black Versafine ink. I used a snowflake punch that I have had around for a while and glued it to the heart. I popped up the heart on dimensionals. TFL!

Birthday Girl

Here are some photo's from my daughter's birthday party on Sunday. My "baby" turned 5 on Saturday and her party was on Sunday. She wanted a Rainbow Pony party, so we went with kind of a western theme. My friend made this AWESOME cake for her!! I had no idea what it would look like & we all loved it. Sophia got an Easy Bake Oven as a present and all of kids went "Wow" and one said "I've seen that on TV"! I love it! I had to take a picture of them all saying "Wowwww". There are actually six star candles on the cake because the kids wanted to put the extra candle on the pony's head.

Wishes Card

I REALLY wanted to use this new stamp set from Stampin Up called Heard From the Heart. I thought a bright birthday card might be fun with this sentiment.
The fishy paper is by K & Company The base card stock is misc from Joann's. The green is by Creative Memories. Fuchsia is misc and I punched it with the Threading Waters punch by Fiskars, then I lined it up so just the edge is showing. I used my 1.5" scallop punch and Creative Memories punches to make the circles with the cupcake. The cupcake stamp is part of a $ set from Michael's which I colored with Prisma colored pencils. I stamped the message in Pear by Paper Salon.

Christmas Cards

I made a bunch of different Christmas cards for this year. Here is another pack of them.

The Starburst paper (I think)is My Minds Eye, Brown is misc, Green is by Heidi Grace, Blue is SU(new in-color), Paprika is from Joann's and the golds brads are misc. The stamp is part of the Best Yet hostess set by Stampin Up. I stamped it in Black Versafine on Cottonwood paper. I think these are kinda fun and a little non-traditional.

I found this layout idea on Splitcoast Stampers, on this link: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1054838?cat=500&ppuser=66248

Fast & Easy Holiday Cards

I found these layouts on Papertrey Ink's website. They just came out with some new holiday stamps and they have some easy layout ideas using them. I used what I had in house :) Here is the link:http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/2008/10/holiday-card-ma.html They also have a cheat sheet for making 25 cards really fast. What a great idea, who couldn't use that? You could also multiply it by however many cards you usually make each year. Well here are the two layouts I used, I only did six of each for my own purposes.

The first one I used my Marvey Uchida 3"Scalloped Circle Punch and my Creative Memories circle cutters. I found the cute snowman stamp at a "cleaning out my stash sale" for about a dollar. The designer paper is by Basic Grey and the red is Misc. I colored it with Prisma Colored pencils and added stickles for the sparkly snow effect.

The second card I used some Cosmo Cricket Holiday paper. The other paper is misc. from Joann's. The stamp is part of The Best Yet hostess set from Stampin Up. The holly was punched from a punch I bought last year and never used. I used my 2" Marvey Uchida Scallop punch and my Creative Memories punch for the circles. These cards were all done on Kraft card stock. TFL!!

Tutorial for Card Box

Start with an 8.5"x11" piece of paper, card stock will hold up the best. Score it at 3", 3.5", 8" and 8.5". Then turn and score the sides at 3/4" and 1 1/4". Cut away the parts that aren't in the photo. You can click on the photo to see it bigger. The smaller end will be your top flap. I punched holes where the circles are and tied my ribbon through for a handle. Fold the bottom flap up and use something like Sticky Strip to hold the sides together. Finally I used a piece of velcro to hold it closed. Please let me know if you have any questions. TFL!
This is not my original idea :) I thought I found it on Splitcoast Stampers site, but now I can't find it to give the proper credit(sorry) - anyone know? It's a great pattern!!

More Pumpkin Poop!

Here is the rest of my Pumpkin Poop for the craft sale this weekend. I still have to add the poem the back. I really hope people buy these because I made a ton!

I love the groovy cat paper, I bought a sheet of that and the swirly orange one at Archiver's. Stamps are from the $ section at Michael's.

TFL!

Thank You Card Set

I found a pattern for this box on Splitcoast Stampers website. It was SUPER easy & looks great! I will add a link when I find it again(I'm on my way out). I used my bone folder to score an extra line aprox. 1/2" in from the fold for added interest. I believe the blue box was made with the new "in color" by Stampin Up. I used the Think Happy Thoughts stamp set by Stampin Up and my Marvey & CM punches. Ribbon is from Michael's. This is held closed with a piece of velcro for the closure.
I made a set of four thank yous to go with this box as a gift set, possibly for the craft sale. TFL!

House Warming Card

A friend of mine just moved back to town after many years. I made this card to welcome them into their new house.

I'll admit - it got a little bit busy and I'm not sure I love it, but it was fun to try something new, including doodling. I cut the house, tree and blue flower with my Cricut. I rubbed Tim Holtz aging ink on the house and the message. I freehand cut the cloud(aged the edges with pear ink) and for the scalloped circle I used my Marvey punch and trimmed off the extra. I taped a red piece of paper behind the window cutouts for dimension and traced around the edges of the card, house, tree & scalloped circle. I found a similar message in the latest Paper Crafts Magazine. I think it fits because sometimes it's just hard to move to a different place... TFL!

Snowman Poop

Here is a batch of snowman poop that I made for the upcoming sale - I am sale crazy these days, only a week & a half away! I found my inspiration and the poem on the Splitcoast Stampers website. We had a girls crafting day last Sunday & a friend brought her Cuttlebug & I used it to emboss the little snowmen. I also added Diamond Stickles to the tiny snowflakes & the top of the torn edge to make it look like sparkly snow :) TFL!
The font that I used was Berlin Sans in my Microsoft Publisher program. I just printed the poem on card stock off of my computer.

Paperclip Bookmarks

Here are a bunch of the jumbo paperclip bookmarks that I am making for the upcoming craft sale. I tried to make a bunch of fun ones for the kiddos. I didn't even stamp any of these! I found some sweet animal paper and punched out the sizes I needed. I'm not sure of the makers of the paper I used, I had to cut off the strip on the bottom with the name on it, but you can message me if you're wondering and I will try to find it for you. I know the cute Elephants are from Basic Grey. If you need a great deal on these paperclips let me know & I will tell you where to get them :)

I also made a whole bunch that are geared more towards adults which I will list sometime in the near future... TFL!

Post-it Holder Gift Set

These are some of the items that I have made for my upcoming craft sale. Post-it note holders, so cute! Found this pattern by Jen Del Muro over at: http://iheart2stamp.com/2008/06/06/questions-answered-and-a-quickie-tutorial-for-abc-friday/ and changed it to make it more my style. Jumbo paper clip bookmarks cuz who doesn't read? and Microbead pens. I found most of these ideas over at Splitcoast Stampers in their gallery under anything but a card. I am totally hooked - can you tell? They have the best crafters & ideas over there! I will post more photos soon of the other thnigs as i get them done! TFL

Good Luck Card

A family friend has joined the FBI and leaves this coming week. I made this card for his going away party.

The dotted paper is by American Crafts, other paper is misc. The silver dots are Colorblok from $ section at Joann's. The star was cut on my Cricut. I inked up the plane stamp and stamped the one on the left first and then stamped the other two without re-inking them to make it look like it had taken off from the star message. The plane stamp was part of a clear $ set at Target, the message stamp is from the Stampin Up hostess set "The Best Yet". TFL!

Sketch Challenge 197

The Sketch challenge this week over at Splitcoast Stampers looked like a good one. So I made a card to match my mini pizza box below.

Mini Pizza Box

Monday's challenge on Splitcoast Stampers is "Try a New Technique". This week it was a mini pizza box. I thought, what? that doesn't sound like something I want to try. Then I saw the photos in the gallery and changed my mind! Here is a link to the tutorial : http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=388026

I have a friend who lives in Nashville and will randomly send a note & a gift to my kiddo. My daughter loves to get something in the mail with her name on it and it's always something unexpected. This time she really wanted to make something to send back to her as a surprise. I am working on all of these treats for the upcoming craft sale (http://www.cafsmw.org/calendar/index.php) so I thought we would make a little treat holder to send her along with another little goofy thing we had.

The box is made out of Joann's textured green paper and I sanded the edges(hint-don't over sand), I also punched a half circle at the bottom to make it easier to open. Burgundy from Joann's. The polka dot paper is Bo Bunny and I stamped the bird($ section at Michael's) in Pear by Paper Salon. "So glad we're friends" is part of the Best Yet hostess set by SU! stamped in Cranberry by Adirondack, Orange ribbon is by Chatterbox. Orange rhinestones are $ pack from ? Scalloped edge is made with the Threading Water punch by Fiskars. TFL!
